I checked on the forum here but did not see one specific for selling boats. Are Craigslist and Alaska List the best options? Anything else besides a broker? If you have used a broker do you feel you got a higher price than had you sold it yourself?

Never went the broker route either. Got no serious inquires from any except via Craigslist. Expect lotsa "tire kickers" non-serious buyers and people trying to scam you.

Especially but not limited to on Craigslist, don't do anything stupid as there are a ton of scammers cash and carry only, meet in public places, etc anchorage you'll probably be fine. Always seems like a lot of lookers and even when you are making an excellent deal for someone they try to scam you at times.

Maybe just a couple pictures of the finished product and not the work in progress. Also just listing what is included and not what work was done may help move it. Sometimes simple is best. Worked for me anyways when selling a drift boat. Had a very detailed add and no interest in it. Went craigslist a simple add and had several people call to ask about it and sold it a week later.
