I have an Atari console well, several, and I'm hoping at least one is in working order and a modern flatscreen television hookup RF input that I want to hook it up to.

What do I need to do to hook the Atari up to get it working? Cheap enough on Amazon with Prime, but you can probably get them in bulk on eBay. Far easier to buy lots of those adapters and put them on multiple TVs and VCRs than to leave it on your Atari cable and screw it in all the time.

What do you mean not reading properly? Do they show the screen with funky colors flashing? That's normal for Atari games the ones actually produced by Atariand that's sort of like a screen saver to prevent burn-in. You have to hit the Reset switch to begin. There's also the channel select switch. If you have the earlier six-switch models, that switch should be somewhere on the bottom.
