How To Use A Battery Tender
Then connect the Negative Black clip to any area of the vehicle chassis or engine block away from the battery. Preferably, connect tender a tender gage metal part of the frame or engine block.
Avoid fuel lines, sheet metal body parts or the carburetor. For positive grounded vehicle, connect Negative Black battery charger clip to the Negative NEG, N, - ungrounded post of the battery, then connect the Positive Red clip to the vehicle chassis or engine block away from the battery.

The red light will remain on until the battery is completely charged.
