So for the first time in my life I've been giving dating apps a try, ideally I am looking for a partner who is asexual, but I've been also trying to open up to the idea of dating an allosexual. It's not dating ideal situation for me, but I feel like if I could develop a strong relationship with someone it would be worth it. Anyway, some app of mine recommended bumble, so I made an account there. The app app itself seems fine, however the options for an asexual profile are terrible.
For one, it places that part of the profile in a place that is very easy to overlook, so you're better off just writing it in your bio yourself. This is terrible because then the app will no longer recognize you as male or female, but simply as asexual note, I am not talking about for listed as agender, but asexual. Agender is one of the separate gender options. So in my case I am an asexual male who is looking to find a compatible female partner. This is bad for only from my end, but also the profiles of the people on the other end who are not looking for a male partner.
It doesn't look like bumble is an ace friendly app IMO. I actually like app asexual fat people dating sites more. I am wondering if any of you know of any best apps for asexual dating OkCupid has asexual options, and you can asexuals out incompatible people with the questions.
When I last used it, the matching questions were pretty useful for gauging how sexual or otherwise best were. I'd suggest checking out this post. It has a bunch of links in it, plus lots of personal experiences with the various sites from other asexuals. I tried okcupid, but it's a bit dating. You have to filter to see other ace peeps and there were like 6 in miles lol. If you are just swiping through people it only ever shows me straight guys or pan women even though my criteria was just for ace people. So like it is usable but you will have to filter over generically swiping.
You can for it as an option for sexuality for yourself however which a lot of apps don't. Okcupid is the best, but the way they keep changing the site makes it ever harder and harder to use. I wish they'd go back in time 10 years, honestly. Asexuals time I checked, you won't see any messages from anyone, and they won't see your messages, unless you play the "like" game.
You get shown profiles and if you like them, and they like you, THEN you get to see if they've messaged you. I think that's so stupid.

People who don't play the like game are never seeing the messages. I wonder how many messages I've never seen, and how many I've sent that were never seen? I think they've just locked the site behind a paywall, with an illusion of a functioning free site that is severely hindered in a way that isn't always immediately obvious. It's crazy. Thousands and thousands of people on the site, and I've got to get lucky and mutually like the same person or we won't even hear each other.

Some of them don't even know that the system works that way, they'll say they don't do the "like" thing in their profile. I hate that this is the trend of the day. It wasn't like that in the past. My messages went down from one or two a year to zero. Are there any dating app recommendations for aces? Start new topic. Recommended Posts.
