This is a weird one but if you have any thoughts I would be grateful to know them.
CONNECTING WITH PEOPLE WHO UNDERSTAND
I was thinking about maybe joining a dating website not entirely to do with romance although if that "survivor" along great but as much for company etcbut wondered whether anyone knows of a dating website for people who have cancer. Not so I can spend all my days chatting about cancer with one specific person who might also have cancer but more so once the "C" topic comes along you know they might already be prepared for it and will not disappear asap!
I'll not say any more. Best wishes. On monday i go for my last round of chemo for breast cancer then surgery etc. Not sure what your circumstances are. I am single with two primary school children who are my world and am currently on sick leave see more my full time job.

Im on twitter and I follow a fair few ladies on there who are open about their cancer journey and, also - some about the fact that they're single and looking for someone nice. They post up some pics here and there and they never seem to be short of offers and compliments xx so it appears many people are quite comfortable dating someone who has had cancer or who is managing it still. I also met my partner on Twitter My sister didn't bat an eyelid and dated him without question even though we had lost our parent to cancer, dating certainly did not put her off xxx.
Im not necessarily looking for fishing dating app just to chat to someone I am 48 who will not leave as soon as I mention the cancer word. To be fair I have never tried this before so maybe I am anticipating people will do this before I have any evidence I would highly recommend Twitter then : Especially if you're looking for friends and company and If you dating up a profile and then search for breastcancer, let's say You can then follow them and they may well follow back.
My profile is mostly around my love of music and I have met cancer partner on there from just sharing songs, following people who are also music people, commenting on posts that my fave bands have tweeted etc. Also, have one night stand hookup sites fair few friends I've site in person and enjoyed time with survivor defo worth looking into : xxx. I was wondering how you got on with your search and if you cancer any advice for someone new to dating back out there'?
Although I am reminded of my 'loss' everyday I am determined now to get back on with my life as best I can and want to forget as much as possible about what has gone before. That being said, I appreciate it is a part of my life and want to connect with people, not to discuss and talk about cancer, but people who I dont have to explain myself to too much about what Ive been through and how it affects me on a daily basis.
I agree about trying to look forward instead of dwelling on the cancer too much to the extent that is cancer To be honest I have not really got anywhere on the online matching thing - I cannot see anything specific for cancer and if there was I wonder whether that would be a good thing or a counter productive thing, I don't know - in some ways it might mean you do not have to "explain" things but on the other hand you want to meet them survivor reasons other than your cancer!
Hi shame your having trouble finding someone to talk to. These strings get people talking to other people quite a few times, I've made a few friends on forum with talking on other strings ,try it see what happens you never know.
