Now, another Toledo family says someone is taking advantage of their home. Brandon Luke, the toledo of a home on Cheltenham says he knew something was up when a number of strangers stopped by his craigslist and started checking it out. Now knowing he is a victim of a rental scam, he wants others to watch out for fake ads. Brandon home is sold, but someone swiped the orginial realtor pics and created a fake ad; boasting about an all brick, three bedroom home in the Old Orchard neighborhood.

She was getting 20 calls an hour about people trying to rent the place because it's listed for way under what the rent in the neighborhood would be," said Brandon Luke. Following advice of police, he posted a sign on his door letting everyone know the rent ad is a scam.

Those he talked with on his door step told him a woman named Barbara is the contact for the bogus post. Brandon warns other who are selling their homes to look out for toledo double listing and for renters, he says if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

The homeowner says he emailed the poster of the ad but hasn't heard back yet and he's also contacted Craigslist to remove the post.
