Does anyone know of a good service or site for finding housing in Savannah? Craigslist just has a lot and I do mean a LOT of postings for the big apartment complexes and its very difficult to find the more genuine, charming and old rentals.
Nothing against the new apartment complexes, they just are not for us - we like old and crooked. Savannah Getaways : Savannah : Historic District. There are some rental agency's downtown that have houses like that. Pick up a penny saver, they have a large rental section, with lots of rental agencies running adds in groups, gives you a heads up on who handles large amounts of rentals.
Also try 'Tri County Real Estate'. They were my Realtors when I bought my house, Very happy with them, they did a good job helping me find a safe area for my family craigslist a new unfamiliar town. They restored the places all themselves and are quite interesting to talk too. This question was asked over a year ago. If anyone would like similar information today, I suggest; savannahnow. Under the heading, "Real Estate" you will find all sort of different catagories of rental units. Also if you are in the market for buying, this will probably work just as well or better than Craig's list.
