You are only young and he has a lot more life experience than you, he may be great but he may also be liking the ego boost of you thinking he is some adonis. This is really about how you feel about yourself, not really to do with him. I mean, he is obviously attracted to you or wouldn't have asked you out, people are attracted to lots of different things, he must think you are great.

It doesn't matter how attractive he is, it's how attractive he finds you that matters to your security in the relationship. I've known really good looking people with plain partners, but they're happy with them and not interested in anyone more.

Conversely I know a dating who really isn't much to look at at.

He has quite attractive GFs much better looking than him! The less easy on the eye ones can actually be more of a liability sometimes, as they've often got ego issues and something to prove that the good looking ones don't.
