For a few seasons on the Dating Game, circa the mid 60's, much of the theme music was provided by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass. I do know that the music they played when the contestant and theme winning bachelor ette were just about to meet, was "Lollipops and Roses".
My question is this -- for the main theme music did they use the song "Whipped Cream" or "Spanish Flea"? As suggestive as those titles sound it's legit! Also were there any other H. I don't know what the main theme to "The Dating Game" was, but I do know that it was neither "Whipped Cream," which was used the the bachelorette intro theme, nor "Spanish Flea," which was used as the bachelor intro.
Okay, I know that there were various Herb Alpert pieces used as incidental music on The Dating Game, but is this dating say that there were two different opening main themes to The Dating Game? I have, on a Chuck Barris album, the main theme to The Dating Game and it's the only opening theme I ever remember hearing But a couple of Alpert cuts were game used as instrumental music.

Jake Tanner. Dave Mackey. Jake Tanner desp Bonus question: this web page brought the Tijuana Brass to the attention of Chuck Barris, and how did that person become familiar with them? CChris c I heard it was Jim Lange, a local S. Lange used to play their music on the radio. Jeff Amdur. Originally it was a guitar lead, a la the rock bands of that era. There was always that Herb Alpert song playing in the background.
