I had a line installed when our house was hookup, but have decided that I like the convenience of just using the 5 gallon tanks. We always have a few around the house and when I get down to only 1 or 2 left full, I take the rest into town in the pickup and get for all filled at once.

It has a shutoff we shut that valve after using BBQ in case the BBQ has a leak and a quick connect hose made at our local hose shop specifically for this, you can also pick them up many places.
