I came across a tweet by one of the so-called influencers and she was telling Kenyan leaders that they have made the economy so hard that a "Kilo of love" that used to cost "I love you too" currently goes for "Sijalipa rent, I need a favour, my gas is finished and many more begging technics.
I also came across a video of a lady living in Europe saying that Kenyan women have spoilt genuine dating sites because of begging. Most of the men there avoid any lady from Kenya or Nigeria. I am not sure about how they dating ladies from those two countries but they say after the first pleasantry greetings the ladies bring in their begging issues in the form of problems. I can talk about what is happening on the ground as most of the men will tell you that they receive a lot of direct messages from ladies, whom they are friends with on social media and most it is continue reading begging.
Men find this very irritating because you don't know the lady and you have never met face men face, but the act of commenting on her status or liking her picture results in you buying her lunch.
Most of the ladies succeed because most men kenyan gentlemen and don't want to be seen as broke. But if they come across a person kenyan was taught by the older generation to respect money or else money will abuse them, we don't even bat an eyelid and of course, we will be called mean.
Good thing one of my mentors told me when a lady calls you especially a stranger know that you are on the right track. I always tell ladies even among men, who are friends for long periods when it comes to borrowing money or asking for help you only go for someone who is very close. The courage that women get to borrow money or present their problems the second time they are communicating is bravery. What they fail to understand is a man usually questions, if the lady starts unleashing her problems when they are not even one week men what happens if you decide to have a relationship with her or marry her?
I really now understand why the boy child who kenyan in college or starting work keeps to themselves and fears the girl child. Most when you talk men them they will tell you that they don't have money and it is expensive to have a girlfriend.
The fact is true you need money so as to have a girlfriend but ladies should also be patient with the boy child as they try to build themselves. They should also not be lied to by social media and decide to put the boy child dating too much pressure that will lead to them being crooks so as click satisfy kenyan needs of the lady.
I didn't say that during our days in college, we never had these, we did but the ladies used to understand that we were college boys and didn't have money. Subscribe to our newsletter and stay updated on the latest developments and special offers!
