Post Reply. Never rented a U-Haul before but am going to have to in a few months. It's a stupid question, but I have to ask Will U-Haul let me hook up the trailer myself or do they insist one of their monkeys sorry if anyone works at U-Haul I will definitely double check everything if they insist they hook it up, but I really don't like anyone touch anything on my uhaul other than hookup BakoTruckNov 30, I had to rent a U-Haul trailer about 3 months ago and they told me they had to be the ones who connected it.

U-Haul insisted on hooking the trailer up, and showing me how to do it, even though I've been towing for years used to work for a marina, and had to hook a trailer up everyday.
